Scammer Script / Description

Claiming someone is trying to open an account in the user's name (often in a different state like Dallas, TX or Arizona) with their SSN. They provide a case number and transfer to a "fraud department". They try to get users to verify other accounts or provide full credit card numbers. They sometimes have partial personal information (last 4 of SSN, outstanding balances). They get "short and testy" when questioned and hang up if asked for email or if user mentions being a banker.
