DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports they were approached on Telegram by someone claiming to be a famous influencer named “Tai.” Tai offered the victim an opportunity to invest in a presale offering of the “xAI88X” coin. Following Tai’s instructions, the victim sent funds to the website, https://xai-official.org/swap, and to the wallet address 0xBd648f4083d85E2Fc53eC603363670cf58D6DF72. All told, the victim transferred $3,816.60. The website is no longer operational.This is not to be confused with the gaming-based digital asset, XAI, developed by Offchain Labs.
