DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports being contacted via WhatApp by an individual claiming to be part of an exclusive investment group. The individual said the victim could make money investing on the crypto asset platform Wealth Firms hosted at wealthfrontes.com. Following the individual’s instructions, the victim opened an account, transferred funds began to invest on the platform. Over several months the victim made multiple trades and believed they were making profits.
