DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident was on Twitter when a pop-up ad appeared stating “Welcome to 5000BTC GiveAway!” He clicked the link and was taken to “thebigmars.com” website where took a quiz and passed. He then got a message that read “To participate, send the amount you want multiplied (from 0.02BTC to 1 BTC) to the address below and, once we have received your transaction, we will immediately send the multiplied amount back (from 0.10BTC to 10BTC) to your address!”
