DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California victim reports on their experience with the crypto asset trading platform operating at stocks-finance.com. After trading on the site, and believing they had made profits, the victim tried to make a withdrawal from their account for an emergency. The platform's customer service first advised the customer to wait a day, then told them their account had been closed or switched to a different crypto account, and then their account balance suddenly showed a negative balance. The victim has been unable to withdraw their funds and the website is not operational.
