DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California victim discovered a crypto asset trading website named Spotalertweb.com through a Telegram group. The victim opened an account, deposited $1,000.00, and began trading. But when the victim wanted to withdraw their money, the website asked for their crypto asset wallet address to begin the process. After they provided that, the website asked them to transfer more crypto assets to the website to process the transfer. The victim was unable to get their money back from the trading platform.
