DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports on their experience with the crypto asset trading platform, Octal Capital, at octal-capital.com. The resident started with a small investment of less than $200 and believed the account grew to more than $83,000 on the platform. But when the victim tried withdraw their funds, a representative from the platform said they needed to purchase additional “programs” before they could make a withdrawal and offered the $43,000 “Mega Plan.” The victim sent funds to purchase the Mega Plan, but when they tried to withdraw their funds from the platform, it demanded an addition
