DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California victim met a lady by the name of Lucy Barney aka Lucy Lee on LinkedIn who gained the victims’ trust by stating she wanted to start a non-profit to help autistic children. The victim believed "Lucy” who said they could make money by trading in crypto assets. Lucy helped the victim set up an account on moodyfx.com account and showed them how to wire money to an exchange to purchase crypto assets and then transfer them to the Moodysfx account, which offered a deposit bonus.
