DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A Californian reports meeting someone on a dating app who introduced them to a crypto-related investment opportunity involving “contract leveraging” on https://h5.ltex.top/. The person indicated that once they deposited funds to the platform, they would be able to use those funds to leverage their crypto and increase its value. The victim tested this out by making an initial deposit of $500 in crypto assets and paying an additional $25 for a “wire transfer charge”. After seeing the value of their crypto assets increase on the platform, they were persuaded to send another $1,500 to the platform
