DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports on their encounter with the crypto asset trading group, Gemini Pro X, located at geminiprom.com, which they discovered on WhatsApp. The trading group asked the victim to deposit crypto assets onto the platform to begin trading. Following the group’s advice, the victim believed they had doubled their money. The victim attempted to trade on their own through the platform, but was subsequently blocked from further trading and denied accessto withdraw any of their money. The website is not operational.
