DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California consumer reports on their experience with the crypto trading platform called GCRA, or gcra2024.com. Believing that they had earned profits trading in their account, the consumer requested a withdrawal. But GCRA customer service demanded a 10% margin deposit of $800 before it would release funds. The consumer deposited $800, but the withdrawal was never processed. The site is no longer in operation, and the consumer has not retrieved any of their funds.
