DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A Californian reports being approached by "Alana" through Facebook, who represented herself as a senior investment partner with a crypto company called elisabatex.com. Alana then presented the victim with an investment opportunity and introduced the victim to another woman, Elisa, the purported CEO of elisabatex.com. The victim noted that Elisa’s Facebook page indicated she was employed with a construction company and was also a Deputy Commissioner with a Federal Government department.
