DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports about their experience with the website https://www.bxdcrypto.net/app/#/. The resident believed that they were participating in a crypto mining endeavor through that website, but were contacted by a representative from the website who demanded they pay a fee for an unfinished crypto mining contract order. The victim paid the fee, but the website then demanded an additional “Gas fee” and various other fees. After sending money to pay these new fees, the website then demanded even more money.
