DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A Californian reported they deposited funds with a crypto exchange at www.Bitpodo.com. But when they tried to withdraw funds, the site told them they would need to deposit more crypto assets in order to verify their account and create a connection between their initial deposit and the withdrawal address. The victim has been unable to recuperate any of their funds and the website is no longer operational.The domain has been seized by the Kings County District Attorney's Office in New York.
