A California victim reports being offered a free non-fungible token (NFT) on the website https://apyeth.gifts/. The site instructed the victim to connect their crypto wallet by entering their wallet’s passcode on the website. The victim entered their wallet’s passcode multiple times, but each time the site stated the attempts were unsuccessful and the crypto wallet could not be connected to the site.At some point, the victim’s crypto assets were moved out of their wallet without their knowledge or consent.
