DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A Californian reports meeting someone on a dating app who, after a few messages, asked they move the conversation to WhatsApp. At some point, the scammer promised that they would show the victim how to trade crypto assets so they could use their profits to fund their future lives together.The scammer guided the victim step-by-step through buying crypto assets on an exchange and sending it to the website antcontract.cc to open an account for trading. The victim followed the instructions and put $300 into their antcontract account, and soon believed they had earned a small profit. So, they added
