DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports they met an individual on Tindernamed "Ting" and began a relationship. At some point, Tingconvinced the victim to Invest money on the crypto asset staking platform, www.amerany.com/farms. Following Ting's instructions, the victim opened a cold crypto wallet and deposited funds onto the platform. After a while, the victim’s funds were frozen on the platform, and their wallet was banned. The victim has not been able to recover their funds and the website is no longer operational. All told, the victim lost more than $1 million which was their life savings.
