DFPI — Victim narrative (California)
A California resident reports their encounter with the trading platform operating on the website accordcrypto.com. The victim listed a vehicle for sale online and was contacted by a "potential buyer" who encouraged them to sign up for accordcrypto.com, claiming it was a crypto asset mining website. The buyer explained that if the victim followed their instructions on how to trade on accordcrypto.com they could earn $37,000 which the buyer would them put towards payment for the car. The accordcrypto.com website is no longer operational.
